At Rainbow we understand how important it is to feel that your child is in safe hands. To ensure that this is the case we have extensive policies and procedures in place, and we support these with a variety of measures such as:
~ Good staffing ratios so that children are appropriately supervised; and the qualifications held by our staff always exceed the legal requirements. This applies to childcare qualifications and to safety qualifications such as paediatric first aid.
~ A CCTV system with 45 cameras giving comprehensive coverage inside and out.
~ All of our staff, including our ancillary staff, are checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly the Criminal Records Bureau).
~ Unlike most nurseries in Surrey, we have our own private car parks for when you drop off or collect your child.
~ All of the doors accessible to children have fingershields to prevent trapped fingers.
~ The temperature of the water to the children’s sinks is controlled so that there’s no risk of scalding.
~ Our own maintenance team, which ensures that any risks arising from equipment failures can be rectified or made safe quickly.
This isn’t a comprehensive list but ought to give you a good idea of just how seriously we take the safety of children in our care.
